EARL GREY GIN & GREY SKY’S BRIGHT COCKTAIL
Surprisingly tea, is actually a wonderful thing to pair with gin. In particular, Earl Grey tea. The bergamot brew interacts with the gin’s botanicals to create a really pleasing flavour. If you're not familiar with bergamot, it's just a type of orange. It's what gives Earl Grey its distinct flavour.
If you are looking for a refreshing summer drink try this tea-infused gin, tonic water, and fresh orange juice.
Earl Grey Gin is the key to this drink. It's very easy to make, but it does take some planning, because it has to steep. To make the gin, just combine your gin of choice, a bag of tea, and bit of sugar in a jar. Mason jars work best, but needs must so use whatever jar you have. Give it a shake, and let it steep for four to six hours.
Once steeped, keep the gin in the fridge. Also! If the teabag breaks when you shake the jar, don't worry, leave the gin to steep, then just pour it through a strainer to get the tea leaves out before mixing up your Grey Sky’s Bright Cocktail.
