Let’s face it, we could all use a drink

We may not be able to head to our preferred sundowner spot, but social distancing doesn’t mean we have to give up on a superb cocktail hour. In the name of making your solo cocktail session special, this Quarantini Cocktail is one that you make with whatever ingredients you still have on hand, and is best enjoyed with whomever you’re cooped up with —after you have washed your hands and standing a meter away from the next person of course.

T.G.B. Quarantini Cocktail
·         50ml of gin, but as stocks may be running low, vodka or another spirit that you have
·         25ml of citrus (grapefruit, lemon or lime juice). Vitamin C is great for immunity 😉
·         15ml of simple syrup* (or to taste).

Method: Shake all ingredients with a bit of ice. No shaker? Just grab two big glasses and join their rims — before straining it into a cocktail glass. Just hold tight and don’t drop the glasses.

*Simple syrup, as its name suggests, is easy to make. Just boil equal parts sugar and water until they liquefy together.

If I am honest, at this stage, the Quarnatini is anything you want it to be, so have fun and enjoy making them, drinking them and the time that you have at home.
